102EX Phantom & the Changing World
Here’s how you know the world is really changing:
Chevy comes out with the Volt. Uh-huh.
Nissan puts the LEAF on the market. Yep.
And one day there will be an electric Toyota. Electric Honda. And so on.
But consider the Rolls-Royce 102EX Phantom.
Sure, it is an “experimental vehicle.” A one-off. But a car that it will begin collecting data on as it drives through Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America with potential buyers behind the wheel.
An electric Rolls.
Think about that.
In 2010, Rolls-Royce sold 2,711 cars. Total. That’s a 171% increase over 2009 sales.
Somehow, a one-off is a non-trivial number when you’re talking that many cars.
