Automobili-D at the Detroit Auto Show
The 2017 North American International Auto Show in January will begin with Automobili-D, a four-day look at the future of personal mobility. The first-time symposium and expo will be held during media and industry preview days Jan. 8-12 ahead of the public show.
The event will involve 100 companies and include displays, panel discussions, demonstrations and test track activities about connected cars, self-driving vehicles and much more, says Kevin Kerrigan, who heads the Michigan Economic Development Corp.’s automotive office.
Automobili-D's main sponsor is MEDC’s Planet M, an initiative that highlights the state’s know-how and research capabilities in the emerging world of advanced mobility. Kerrigan describes Automobili-D in this video and in greater depth in a related Viewpoint article.
