Building an Auto Industry Talent Supply Chain
It’s no secret that the auto industry is struggling to find enough high-tech talent. The answer, says MICHauto Executive Director Glenn Stevens, starts with changing perceptions about the industry itself.
Stevens notes that the automobile is the most high-tech consumer product on earth. But MICHauto market research confirms a big gap between that reality and the industry’s perception among students, parents, teachers and counselors.
A team of OEM executives and supplier CEOs is developing a MICHauto pilot campaign to reach students through their favorite channels: clips, social media and influencers. The ultimate goal is to develop the auto industry’s talent pipeline as part of its overall supply chain.
