Daimler Names New U.S. Manager for Smart Brand

Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz USA unit has appointed Mark Webster as general manager of its Smart minicar brand in the U.S., effective May 1. He is currently general manager for the unit’s used-car and fleet operations.
In his new job, Webster will report to Bernie Glaser, vice president for American marketing. Webster succeeds Tracey Matura, who will become Mercedes general sales manager for the central U.S.
