HBPO and Lightweighting
HBPO North America has doubled its sales in 2016-2018 and by year-end will open four more manufacturing plants in the region, says President Diana Mannino.
The Troy, Mich.-based unit of Germany’s HBPO GmbH specializes in front-end assemblies for passenger vehicles. The company focuses on lightweighting programs that involve integrated, multi-material manufacturing techniques.
Mannino says HBPO’s innovative approach has been able to reduce the weight of existing front-end systems as much as 25% without compromising product performance.
