Cooper-Standard Automotive uses a new system to filter ideas, quickly identify ones that look promising technically and commercially and rapidly turn them into new products.

The company which supplies carmakers with fluid transfer, sealing and anti-vibration systems has processed more than 150 ideas in two years and is commercializing two of them, says Lyle Otremba, Cooper Standard's vice president of innovation and advanced product strategy.
