Although we’ve been in numerous factories over the years, we must admit that we’ve never seen a celebrity, especially like Class of 2010 Football Hall of Fame inductee Jerry Rice, in one.

Here Rice is at the BMW Manufacturing plant in Spartanburg, SC, as he is in the vicinity to play at the BMW Charity Pro-AM presented by SYNNEX Corp., which tees off today. Rice is known for being one of the greatest wide receivers of all time. The BMW plant is known for being the global producer the X5 and X6 vehicles.

Rice is also known for his participation on the “Dancing With the Stars,” season two, where he finished in second place to singer Drew Lachey, best known as being a member of 98 Degrees, which is a far cry from the San Francisco 49ers.

Which leads us to think: Perhaps most of those people signing up for autographs would have preferred if Rice’s dancer partner Anna Trebunskaya had been in the factory, instead.
