Marianne Schrode, Director of Strategic Relations for AutoBeat parent company Gardner Business Media, has a rich history in the automotive space.
Marianne is President of Alliance Engine, a company established July 2019 to accelerate growth through never imagined partnerships. Whether building an internal alliance capability or managing a constellation of alliances, Alliance Engine provides economies of scale through partnerships between diverse stakeholders that will generate economies of scale.
Marianne was employed by Dassault Systèmes 2004 – June 2019, but a strategic partner to DS since 1991. As Vice President Global Affairs. She was responsible for developing business relationships with channels of industry companies, opinion leaders, and C-level executives, and to demonstrate the value of Dassault Systèmes as the premier 3DExperience Company which improves business processes while inventing a sustainable future.
Marianne began her career as an educator but transitioned to the computer and transformation industry in 1983, enjoying work at Wang Laboratories, Digital Equipment, EDS, and IBM. Marianne has been in the Automotive Industry the majority of her career with responsibility for Automotive Tier 1 Suppliers and Global OEM’s. She has had positions in Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Organizational Leadership and Industry Global Affairs.
Marianne received both her Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Administrative & Organizational Studies from Wayne State University, but is quick to point out that she has learned much from the people she has met in her work and personal life.
She is an Executive Board Member of the Automotive Hall of Fame, a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers Detroit Section Global Leadership Conference Committee, involved with the Henry Ford Health System Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology, “Eyes On Design” since 2005, and was an Executive Board Member at the Michigan Science Center from 2000 – 2017.
She resides in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, with her husband Bob, and is the mother of two sons, Benjamin and Zachary.
