Faraday Future Inc. has completed the first pre-production copy of its FF 91 electric SUV/crossover.

The struggling startup confirmed the news via a Twitter post from CEO Jia Yeuting after Green Car Reports published a leaked congratulatory email to employees. Faraday was to celebrate the milestone today at its plant in Hanford, Calif.

Deliveries of the oft-delayed FF 91 luxury model are due to start in December. The Chinese-backed company secured about $2 billion during its latest funding round, which was completed in July.

Faraday unveiled a concept of the FF 91 at the 2017 CES electronics show in Las Vegas. Powered by three electric motors, the car is expected to rocket from zero to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds and be able to drive “well in excess” of 300 miles between charges.

The high-end EV will feature autonomous driving capabilities and use artificial intelligence to learn driving and convenience preferences. Specially designed rear seats will can be adjusted for position, temperature, comfort and massage functions.
