Karma Automotive LLC has hired John Maloney as chief revenue officer in charge of sales and marketing, customer experience and public relations.
Maloney spent the last five years as an independent consultant. He previously was a senior executive at Volvo Car Corp., including a two-year stint heading the company’s North American operations. Maloney started his career at Ford Motor Co., which was Volvo’s former owner.
Karma was formed in 2014 when China’s Wanxiang Group bought the assets of Fisker Automotive. The California-based company’s Revero plug-in hybrid sedan is based on Fisker’s short-lived Karma model. An updated version of the Revero is due later this year.
