Dassault Systemes Inc. says it has won a new contract with Tata Motors Ltd.'s Jaguar Land Rover unit to supply a wide range of its V6 product lifecycle management software, including Catia, Delmia, Enovia, Simulia and 3DVIA development tools. The contract runs through at least 2015, according to Dassault.

JLR, which has previously used Dassault's V5 platform for certain design and development tasks, conducted an extensive 18-month benchmarking analysis before selecting V6. Dassault, which also supplies Tata Motors, says the new JLR deal captured some business from rival PLM providers.
