The National Corvette Museum (NCM) in Bowling Green, Ky., located about a quarter mile from the factory that builds the iconic Chevy sports car, is raffling off several 2020 models. The price to play: $20 to $200.
3 Chances to Win
Raffles currently are underway for three C8 Vettes.
For just $20, you can take a flyer on a Torch Red 2LT coupe with a performance exhaust and removable roof package. The price is right, but this one will be a longshot—NCM plans to sell as many tickets as possible before the September 5 drawing.
The odds are much better for the other two C8s, if you’re willing to spend a little more.
The chance to win an Elkhart Lake Blue coupe with a performance exhaust system and upgraded interior package costs $100. Tickets will be limited to 2,000 people, with the drawing scheduled for May 29.
This will be followed a few weeks later with a June 18 drawing for a Blade Silver 2020 Corvette convertible with a Z51 performance package. In this case, $200 will give you a one in 1,500 chance to win.
All vehicles are powered by a 6.2-liter V-8 that kicks out 495 hp. The engine is mated with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Win-Win for Vette Aficionados
Don’t feel too bad if you don’t win. The proceeds of the raffle go to a great cause: helping to cover the museum’s operating costs.
Like most “non-essential” businesses, the museum has been closed for more than a month due to the coronavirus. But it’s expected to resume operations this summer. If you haven’t visited it yet, do yourself a favor and book a trip when you can. The experience will be well worth the effort.
NCM holds a similar raffle every year. But being that it’s the C8’s first year on the market, it’s also the first time the new model has been offered as a prize. Good luck!
