The Advanced Active Cleaning System prototype has been developed by Röchling and electronics expert Helbako. Shown here is a cutaway of the fluid tank and the electronics that are integrated with it. The purpose of the AACS is to keep the surfaces of radar, lidar, cameras and other sensors clean. The system intelligence not only determines what needs to be clean, but, based on the amount of fluid in the tank and the importance of the given sensors, which to prioritize to help assure safe driving.
